Girls

I haven't blogged in awhile so I thought I'd share a couple of my favorite recent pictures. The first one is of my niece that I watch Monday through Friday I really think she's going to be a model when she grows up, She begs me to take pictures of her and she poses however she feels like.



Now here is my FAVORITE even though she's a little orange and it was a tight crop but here is my daughter's first birthday picture that I took of her.

And here are a few of my cousin's daughter that is the same age as my son. She's a cute and very shy little girl. Hopefully she'll warm up to me and let me get some better shots of her.

Baking

I recently discovered that I love to bake. And I'm pretty good at it too but decorating is another story. My favorite cookies to make are homemade M&M's,NO BAKES and peanut butter. I'd rather make cookies from scratch but I don't mind making frozen cookies every once in awhile. I tried to make my husband a 3 layer chocolate truffle cake but I didn't have the right stuff to make it so it burned and the dogs jumped up on the counter and ate every bit of it so I guess they liked it!! I Promised myself I would take a picture everyday if possible but knowing I have 2 kids that are 1 year and a few months apart and watching my 4yr old niece that wouldn't happen so I try even harder to push myself even if it's something simple and boring. Maybe I can make that something boring into a wonderful picture the more I try. You'll never know until you try right? Anyways here's a few pictures of my store bought Valentine's day cookies before they are cooked and after when I tried to decorate but didn't work out as planned so I made my own designs that still aren't pretty but they tasted wonderful to me and my family!!

My pretty babies were taking a bath together when Joshua decided to kiss his little sister! Good thing I had a camera ready to take a shot of their mohawks! So I'm making this as my entry to www.iheartfaces.com weekly photo challenge "kiss"

First photo walk!

So today I got the nerve to take a photo walk around my neighborhood it was so much fun! I've always loved trees and the way the look in photographs. I really enjoyed my walk seeing all the different types of trees and they way they look differently with snow and ice on them. My neighbor has a willow tree that is just amazing! The way the branches are just make you want to grab on and swing on them like Tarzan! I'm looking forward to taking another walk soon before the snow melts and after.

My beautiful aunt and cousin

I got to take pictures of my aunt and cousin so they can send some to my uncle bryan who is over sea's. I had a fun time with them. Can't wait to do some outside pictures with them!

Restoring

Okay I know I'm in love with photo editing. It's something I think I'm actually good at, And it's fun! But tonight while looking at my aunts facebook I found her baby picture and thought hey maybe I can fix it up a bit and I did. I was so pleased with how it turned out. It's nice to know that I can restore a picture!
